It is now only a few weeks to the first show on 18th April and full details of the programme for 2010 is now on screen The Showjumping entries increased last year and we are pleased to advise that the Club has now taken delivery of some new and additional showjumps for 2010. The jumps for both the WHP and the showjumping ring will be set up (weather permitting) on or before Friday 2nd April (Good Friday). Any member wishing to have practice jumping in these rings should contact John Oakes on 0161 748 8996

Welcome to Urmston & District Riding Club.
The Club was formed in 1956 by the late Mr Larry Morrissey of Gloucester Road Urmston, and originally comprised 7 members. Over the years, it has grown as horse riding became more popular, and we now have approximately 120 members.
Our showground is located on Southgate which is off Church Road on the Urmston/Flixton border, the ground having a total of 6 rings holding the following. The Postcode for the field is M41 9EP

At the end of the season we send our Champions to the "Festival of Champion" competition at Valiants
We cater for all ages, Lead Rein up to 10 years, Juniors to 16 years, and Seniors.
Our Rosettes are of excellent quality, and go to 6th place (4th for Gymkhanas).
We have Cups/Trophy Annual Shows , plus a points system based on a Horse and Rider combination throughout the season. In total there are 150 perpetual Cups/Trophies to be competed for.
